PPG天津涂料生产工厂荣获“绿色工厂”荣誉称号。

PPG’s Tianjin coatings manufacturing facility joins a select group honored as “green plants.” 

近日，PPG位于中国天津的汽车原始设备制造商（OEM）涂料和工业涂料生产工厂荣获天津市政府授予的“绿色工厂”称号。

PPG’s automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and industrial coatings manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China, was named a "green plant" by the Tianjin government.

该工厂是PPG在中国首家荣获此次殊荣的工厂，也是天津为数不多获此荣誉称号的工厂之一中国涂料在线coatingol.com。

The plant is PPG's first in China to make the cut and one of a limited number of Tianjin facilities to be honored in this way.

工厂负责人Michael Fu表示：“全市数千家工厂中只有54家荣获“绿色工厂”称号。 我们很荣幸成为这些优秀工厂中的一员。”

"There are only 54 plants out of the thousands operating in the city that have been designated green," said Michael Fu, plant manager. "So we are quite pleased to be among that select group."

要获得“绿色工厂”荣誉称号，需在工厂集约化程度、生产清洁度和废物回收等方面进行全面考量和评估。

Facilities aiming to be named as green plants are comprehensively evaluated and scored in areas such as plant intensification, production cleanliness and waste recycling.

Fu表示： “荣获这一称号得誉于PPG对周边社区的绿色环保生产举措，这体现了我们工厂的生产环保意识，提升了我们的社会形象。”

"Being awarded this title demonstrates PPG's green manufacturing to the surrounding communities," said Fu. "It enhances the environmentally conscious manufacturing image of the Tianjin plant.

该工厂的政府事务团队和EHS（环境、健康和安全）团队在去年年初收到通知得知，2018年评选即将开始时，其团队成员联系了天津市政府和第三方机构，以评估该工厂是否符合“绿色工厂”的指标。

When the plant's government affairs team and EHS (environment, health and safety) team received notice early last year that 2018 selections would soon be under way, its members contacted both the Tianjin government and a third-party agency to determine the likelihood that the plant could meet green plant requirements.

• 评估筛选流程内92项相关指标

• 整理并补充与指标相关的资料

• 向政府有关部门提交自我评估报告

After getting a positive response, the team established a “green plant group.” With strong support from plant leadership, the group oversaw the efforts to qualify, including:

• Evaluating 92 indicators related to selection requirements

• Collecting and supplementing materials pertaining to the indicators

• Holding regular meetings to track progress

• Submitting a self-assessment report to the government
